Against the tumultuous backdrop of New Guinea in 1945, The Guns of Mushu tells the story of an elite squad of eight Australian Z Special commandos who embark on a perilous mission: to infiltrate the Japanese-infested island of Mushu to identify the whereabouts of two fomidable naval guns that pose a serious threat to the Allied forces. However, their covert operation takes a harrowing turn when their presence is unvailed by the Japanese, unleashing chaos as one by one the squad are killed or captured by the ruthless enemy. Amidst the deadly game of cat-and-mouse in the unforgiving jungles, only Sapper Mick Dennis emerges as the sole suvivor. Now thrust into a desperate struggle for survival against insurmountable odds, Dennis strives to navigate his way off Mushu and back to the safety of the Australian lines with the vital information.
